Scranton Tea Party

Tea Party Patriots of Lackawanna County, PA.

I'm blah blah blah and I approved this message! Who cares?

Every time I hear that I want to vomit. I see a guy like Arlen Spector who decides that while in the office that he was elected to by yours truly and other Republicans is now going to be a Democrat so that he can get elected again. If he had stuck with his party and constituents he would never have had to do such and sneaky/cowardly back room parlor deal. Turn coat! Benedict Arnold! Loser!

Is there a secret elixir that our elected officials drink once they get in office that make them corrupt, arrogant, greedy and spineless? John Emerich Edward Dalberg Acton, first Baron Acton (1834-1902). The historian and moralist, who was otherwise known simply as Lord Acton, expressed this opinion in a letter to Bishop Mandell Creighton in 1887:

"Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are

almost always bad men."
